Fun times at the Highline | Pittsburgh Portrait Photographer
The Highline is such a fun little spot. It's close to river access, a trail, the color park, pizza and beer!
Unbeknownst to me, there was a beaver in attendance at this session.
When I photograph with kids, I like to follow their lead wherever possible. I try to get to know them a little and build some trust. And a lot of times that just involves talking and listening to them. Maybe some armpit farts, idunno.
This beaver was neither nasty nor dank. But, your child *might* have a nasty dank lovey that they must take everywhere with them. (dictionary defines dank as "disagreeably damp" or "excellent" and I think both are applicable here) You might initially think you don't want that thing in your family photos. And at the end of the day, they are your photos, so I will always defer to you. But in my opinion, something that makes your little one feel more safe and comfortable is a plus. Another plus - its real. It's a really cool part of your current existence that won't be there forever. I'd love to document it.
And if you really don't want the dank toy in the shots. Maybe just don't bring it.
